The Classic sits days before the fall season opens, which is exactly the point. Three real games against teams you do not see in league play.

Real depth in the girls' gameNine of the twenty 2026 divisions were girls' brackets, U11 through U17. The event accepts girls' teams to U19.

Tournament questions
When is the 2027 Furniture City Classic?
August 2027, across High Point and Kernersville, North Carolina. Exact dates are confirmed in the spring and go out with your acceptance email. The 2026 edition ran August 29–30.
Who can enter?
Competitive club teams, boys and girls, U9 through U19. The 2026 field drew teams from across North Carolina and from Virginia.
Where are games played?
All 7v7 brackets play at the High Point Athletic Complex. U11–U14 boys play at Ivey Redmon in Kernersville. U11–U19 girls play at HPAC and Phillips Park.
What does entry cost?
Early entry runs $500 for 7v7 at U9–U10 up to $875 for 11v11 at U15–U19. Regular entry adds $50 in every age group. Payment by check must be postmarked by the entry deadline.
When do applications open?
Not yet for the August 2027 edition. Send your club and age groups through the form on this page and we will email you the day they open. (The Winter Shootout in February is open now.)
Is there a hotel block?
Yes. The Classic runs a stay-to-play block for travelling teams. Ask for the room-block form through the tournament office and we will send it.
How many games does a team play?
Three, guaranteed. Each division names a champion and a finalist at the end of the weekend.
Do you run a separate winter event?
Yes. The Go-Forth Home Services Winter Shootout runs in February in High Point, with 159 teams in 2026. Many clubs enter both.

The part nobody else can offer
Grass when it's good. Turf when it isn't.
A late-August thunderstorm takes a grass complex out for the afternoon and the whole schedule slides with it. We play on grass when the weather allows and hold turf capacity for when it does not, so play resumes instead of stopping.
16–18 turf fields in reserve
August in the Piedmont means afternoon storms. Turf capacity is held across the venue set so a cell costs you an hour rather than a weekend.
Somewhere to move to
If a grass complex goes under, the bracket shifts onto turf and plays. Tournaments with one surface simply stop.
