Recreation

Fun-first community soccer across the Triad. One practice, one weekend game. Uniform kit included. Two 8-week seasons: Fall (late Aug – Oct) and Spring (late Feb – early May).

Pre-MLS & Pre-GA (CDL)

Carolina Development League (CDL) high-performance pathway for top U11–U12 players, with U10 Pre-MLS and Pre-GA teams in NCYSA, preparing them for MLS NEXT and Girls Academy.

MLS NEXT (Homegrown & Academy Division)

Direct youth affiliate of Carolina Core FC (MLS NEXT Pro). Homegrown: 4 sessions/wk + 3 GK sessions. Academy Division: 3 + 2, high school soccer permitted.

Elite Technique Academy (ETA)

One extra hour of pure ball mastery and technical repetition every week. Fridays 5:30–6:30 pm at Phillips Park, with more days being added as demand grows. About 250 CCFC players trained in ETA in 2025–26.

Open tryouts. Every year. Every level.

Plenty of clubs act as gatekeepers. We don't. Spring tryouts run from the top down, so a player who misses the top team still has every other level ahead of them. The pro side holds open tryouts too.

How to register.

All Carolina Core FC Youth programs register through our PlayMetrics portal. Five steps, one sitting, on a phone.

  1. Confirm the age group

    Use Find My Age Group & Program to confirm your player's division before you start.

  2. Create an account

    Create a free PlayMetrics account and verify your email.

  3. Add your players

    Add each player to your household profile: name, birth year and a photo.

  4. Choose and pay

    Pick the program and pay the registration fee. Installment plans are offered at checkout.

  5. Sign the forms

    Complete the waivers, code of conduct and media release.
